Overview

WiFi Score Pro ("the App") is a WiFi diagnostic tool developed by Click Solutions Pro. The App measures your home WiFi signal strength (RSSI), ping latency, packet loss, and roaming events to produce a quality score from 1 to 5.

All measurements are performed locally on your device. The App does not upload your network data, test results, or location to any external server operated by us.

Simple summary: We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Your WiFi diagnostics stay entirely on your device.

Data We Collect

The App processes the following data locally on your device only:

WiFi Signal (RSSI)
Signal strength in dBm — used to calculate your WiFi score. Never uploaded.

Ping Latency
Round-trip time to a configurable IP. Used locally for scoring only.
🔀
BSSID / Roaming
Access point ID to detect roaming events. Displayed in-app only.
📋
Diagnostic Log
Test results in memory for the session. Cleared when the app closes.

When you use the Share Report feature, a plain-text report is generated on your device and shared via your chosen app. Click Solutions Pro does not receive this report.

Data We Do NOT Collect

The following data is never collected by this App:

App Permissions Explained

Each Android permission is required for core diagnostic functionality:

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
Required by Android to read WiFi network name (SSID). We do not access your physical location.

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
Reads signal strength (RSSI) and access point info for diagnostics.

INTERNET
Used to send ping requests and to load AdMob advertisements.

NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES
Required on Android 13+ to access WiFi info without location permission.
🔒
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Checks whether a network connection is active before running tests.
💡
WAKE_LOCK
Keeps the screen on during active tests so measurements are not interrupted.

⚠️ None of these permissions grant us access to your location, files, contacts, or any personal information beyond what is listed above.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain data to serve relevant ads, including advertising ID (GAID), approximate location, device model and OS version, and app usage signals.

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by Click Solutions Pro. Google's practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Opt-out: Limit ad tracking via Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID on your Android device.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party SDKs:

Open-source charting library by PhilJay. Runs entirely on-device. Collects no data.
💰
Google AdMob
Ad serving SDK by Google. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy and GDPR consent framework.

The default ping target IP (8.8.8.8 — Google Public DNS) receives ICMP/TCP ping packets during tests. No personal data is included in these packets.

Children's Privacy

WiFi Score Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

If you believe a child has used this App and data has been inadvertently collected through AdMob, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Data Security

Since all diagnostic data is processed locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers, the risk of a data breach on our end is eliminated by design.

The App enforces HTTPS-only network traffic (cleartext HTTP is blocked via network_security_config.xml) and does not persist any data beyond the current app session.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, most data rights requests (access, deletion, portability) do not apply to us directly.

For data collected by Google AdMob, exercise your rights through Google's privacy tools at myaccount.google.com.

EU/EEA users: AdMob integrates with the IAB TCF consent framework. A consent dialog may appear on first launch based on your region.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users via an in-app notice or Play Store update description.
