WiFi Scout for Android · Last updated: August 2026

The short version

WiFi Scout measures your WiFi and draws maps on your device. Your heatmaps, scan data and reports stay on your phone unless you choose to share them. We keep a small anonymous record in the cloud only to count trial scans and validate licenses. We do not collect names, emails, physical locations, or browsing data — and we never sell anything.

Permissions the app uses, and why

Data stored only on your device

Sharing a report or image sends it through the app you choose (email, WhatsApp, etc.) — that transfer is under your control.

Data stored in the cloud

To make the free trial fair and licenses verifiable, WiFi Scout keeps a minimal record in Google Firebase (Firestore), tied to an anonymous device identifier:

This record contains no personal information, no network names, no measurements and no maps. Authentication is anonymous — no account is created and no email is requested.

What we never collect

Third parties

The app uses Google Firebase (trial counting and license validation), subject to Google's privacy policy. Purchases are processed by Google Play (in-app) or PayPal (direct sales) on their own pages — we never see or store your payment details.

Data retention & deletion

The anonymous trial/license record is kept for the duration of the license (up to 3 years) plus a reasonable accounting period. To request deletion of your device's record, contact us with your license code or approximate purchase date at support@clicksolutionspro.com. Data on your phone is deleted by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling.

Children

WiFi Scout is a technical utility not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
